Privacy Policy
Effective date: September 19, 2026
Sparks is a private space to record and organize your playing. Your projects, recordings, and notes are stored on your own device and are not uploaded to our servers. We collect a small amount of account information so you can sign in. This policy is a launch-ready placeholder and should be reviewed by counsel before public release.
Information We Collect
We collect information you provide when you create an account, such as your name, email address, date of birth, and the instrument you play. Video, audio, and notes you create in your projects and Sparks stay on your device and are not sent to us.
How We Use Information
We use your account information to operate the app, support account access and password resets, and improve the product.
Media and User Content
Recordings and notes you make in Sparks are stored only on your device. Sparks does not upload, view, or share them. If you back up your device (for example with iCloud), your backup provider may include them. If you export a recording with your phone's share sheet, that is your choice and is handled by the app you share it to.
Data Retention
We retain account information until you delete your account or request removal, subject to operational and legal requirements. Recordings and notes remain on your device until you delete them or delete your account.
Account Deletion
You can delete your account from within the app. Deleting your account removes future access, initiates removal of your account data from Sparks systems, and erases the projects, recordings, and notes stored on your device by the app.
